Wildland Firefighter Foundation

A Partnership Dedicated to Wildlanders and Their Loved Ones

For over 25 years, Chiron Center, Inc. has worked in concert with the mission of the Wildland Firefighter Foundation (WFF), providing complementary support to wildland firefighters and their families. In 2020, this long-standing collaboration evolved into a formal partnership, uniting our efforts to serve the wildland community with compassion, expertise, and unwavering dedication.

Supporting Wildlanders Every Step of the Way

Trauma and Grief Support
At the direction of the WFF, Chiron personnel provide trauma mental health and grief support to impacted wildland firefighters and their loved ones. These services are tailored to meet the unique challenges faced by this courageous community, ensuring they receive the care and connection they need during difficult times.

Ranch-Based Respite
The Ranch offers a tranquil sanctuary for wildlanders and their families, providing opportunities to rest, reflect, and renew in a serene, nature-centered environment. These visits foster resilience and create meaningful moments of connection and healing.

Remembrance Day Outreach
On behalf of the Foundation, Chiron reaches out to the loved ones of fallen wildland firefighters on their Remembrance Day. Through daily calls, texts, emails, and heartfelt letters, we honor their memory and ensure their families feel supported and seen.

Family Day Participation
Each year, Chiron proudly participates in WFF’s annual Family Day, creating a space for shared experiences, healing, and celebration. This event is a poignant reminder of the strength and unity within the wildland firefighting community.

Proud Partners in Service

Our partnership with the Wildland Firefighter Foundation is built on shared values of service, resilience, and community. We are deeply honored to stand alongside WFF in support of the extraordinary professionals who dedicate their lives to protecting our natural world and the loved ones who stand behind them.
