Jill Tarvin
Ranch Hand
For Jill Tarvin (she/her/hers), The Ranch represents a return to her roots. Raised in a rural area of Northern California with her two siblings, Jill grew up on a small hobby farm where she developed a deep connection to animals and agricultural life. Her passion for ranching and animal care led her to excel in both 4-H and FFA, culminating in the honor of receiving the Golden State FFA Degree for her exemplary cow/calf project.
After transitioning to a career in public safety in 2002, Jill and her family moved to suburban Medford, Oregon. Though her professional life kept her in the city, Jill often longed for the simplicity and fulfillment of her rural upbringing. Joining The Ranch part-time allowed her to reconnect with the life she loves—spending time outdoors, caring for animals, and immersing herself in the smells and rhythms of ranch work.
Jill’s role at The Ranch not only provides her a sanctuary from the stresses of her day-to-day career in public safety but also allows her to bring her passion and skills to an environment that thrives on care and connection. Her work contributes to the well-being of the animals and the harmony of ranch operations, making her an invaluable member of the CTRN Team.
In her free time, Jill enjoys making memories with her family, exploring new destinations across the U.S., and embracing opportunities to try new things. For Jill, The Ranch is more than a workplace—it’s a place of renewal and purpose, offering a perfect balance of nostalgia and new beginnings.
